There's no such thing as a perfect SEO strategy.
Perfect is the enemy of action.
And so often, it's just a convenient excuse to avoid facing fear.
If you've got the perfect plan, you can't fail, right? And then you can't be judged or told off, huh?
But the problem with perfect...is that it doesn't exist. So, most people never get started.
Safe, but limiting. I've been there - and I promise you that the pain of being stuck is way worse than facing your fear (which so often turns out to be an illusion, anyway).
Because of the topic of this newsletter, of course, I'm going to link this message back to SEO and content marketing.
So...for those of you thinking about investing in SEO or rebuilding your SEO strategy, I implore you to let go of perfect.
Nothing ever unfolds like you expect it to.
No article will be the best you've ever written.
Not every tactic you try will pay off.
You won't get it right the first time—trust me.
You'll feel lost sometimes.
Perfect is bullsh*t.
Create a 90-day plan, make a bet, take action, see what happens, and iterate from there.
Even if you mess it up completely, you'll be ahead of those who didn't try at all.
There is a hell of a lot of value in action.
Consistent action in the short-term. Patience in the long term.
Keep going, friends.
